Question 1

What date is 9 months before March 12?

Accepted Answer

9 months before March 12 is June 12.

Question 2

Is 9 months before March 12 always the same date?

Accepted Answer

Yes — when working with month/day only (no specific year), 9 months before March 12 consistently lands on June 12. In years where the result month has fewer days than the source, the day is clamped to the last valid day of the result month.

Question 3

What is 9 months after June 12?

Accepted Answer

9 months after June 12 brings you back to March 12 — the calculation is reversible.

Question 4

How do I calculate 9 months before a date?

Accepted Answer

Subtract 9 from the month number. If the result is 0 or negative, wrap around by adding 12. For example, March 12 is month 3, so 3 − 9 = 6, which is June.
