Question 1

What date is 9 months before November 8?

Accepted Answer

9 months before November 8 is February 8.

Question 2

Is 9 months before November 8 always the same date?

Accepted Answer

Yes — when working with month/day only (no specific year), 9 months before November 8 consistently lands on February 8. In years where the result month has fewer days than the source, the day is clamped to the last valid day of the result month.

Question 3

What is 9 months after February 8?

Accepted Answer

9 months after February 8 brings you back to November 8 — the calculation is reversible.

Question 4

How do I calculate 9 months before a date?

Accepted Answer

Subtract 9 from the month number. If the result is 0 or negative, wrap around by adding 12. For example, November 8 is month 11, so 11 − 9 = 2, which is February.
