Question 1

What date is 9 months before September 19?

Accepted Answer

9 months before September 19 is December 19.

Question 2

Is 9 months before September 19 always the same date?

Accepted Answer

Yes — when working with month/day only (no specific year), 9 months before September 19 consistently lands on December 19. In years where the result month has fewer days than the source, the day is clamped to the last valid day of the result month.

Question 3

What is 9 months after December 19?

Accepted Answer

9 months after December 19 brings you back to September 19 — the calculation is reversible.

Question 4

How do I calculate 9 months before a date?

Accepted Answer

Subtract 9 from the month number. If the result is 0 or negative, wrap around by adding 12. For example, September 19 is month 9, so 9 − 9 = 12, which is December.
